5 Days to Go

Gym-G: The sight of it all was awesome - players practicing - their sweat and toil all directed towards a single purpose - winning the gold in BOSM.

In a year where remarkable sporting achievements have made us all sit up and take notice of the hardships and the toil undertaken by athletes and sportspersons, an event like BOSM assumes special significance. After all, this is the platform for students to come up with the goods and prove that they can compete in the sports of their choice. This is where they pursue their dream sof glory. This might not be the Olympics but the motto is still the same - Citius, Altius, Fortius.

There might be no Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps among the competition here, but there is still that sense of rivalry and the sense of anticipation - the anticipation of achievement propelling the competitors to greater glory. And that is what we hope to see - competition in the most raw format - one that places the onus on winning and yet acknowledges all those who believe the sporting spirit and participation is just as important.
